More Choices, LLC

Services

I primarily use EMDR and Internal Family Systems. These two models work well together and help facilitate greater healing. In addition to these, I use CBT, Trauma Focused CBT, Couples models (including, the Gottman Method and Tatkin’s attachment work), DBT, Collaborative Problem Solving (for parenting children and teens) and Mind/Body Medicine

We all struggle in this human journey, and we can all heal. We can improve our lives and our circumstances. It’s special and different for every person. We all want to feel heard. It helps move us into stronger and more confident spaces.

FEES

I do not take insurance. My fee for individual is $135 per 50 minute session and for couples/families is $150 per 50 minute session. I have available 4 slots for sliding scale. The sliding scale fee is: $120 per 50 minute session.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

I love this model. It is unique for each client and helps identify the reasons we do what we do – why we struggle and don’t know why. Together we work on understanding how each member of the “internal family” works to help the client. I always learn so much from the client’s experience when we collaborate on this work.

Couples Work

Couples work is so CREATIVE! Every couple is different and I love helping a couple discover how they complement each other to resolve difficulties. I use a combination of Gottman’s theory of creating lasting love and emotional safety, Satir’s work on healthy communication, and Tatkin’s attachment theory. The other very cool benefit is that this work applies to other relationships.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

EMDR targets past trauma, present struggles and old, negative tapes that keep us stuck. It is a modality with much positive research and testimonials to its effectiveness. I like that the client and I work collaboratively to change the old beliefs and messages.

Mind/Body Medicine

The research has shown that the mind and the body are intricately linked to each other and focusing on both can heal both. I like these techniques because they identify the connection between physical and emotional pain. We will work on resolving areas of trauma and unresolved grief that get locked in the brain and body.
